Sweet Parkland Newborn Photoshoot
What’s a “unicorn baby”? The kind where baby sleeps the entire session and flows through the pose transitions totally chilled. This little one was the ultimate unicorn! At just 8 days old, during her newborn photos in Parkland, she snoozed from start to finish, so sleepy, peaceful, and totally content. Planning your own session in Parkland? When you see professional newborn photos, either online or on social media-all you see is that serene perfection.
But what you don’t always see is the time, patience, feeding breaks, soothing, and diaper changes it often takes to capture those moments.
Not with this baby! She arrived in her car seat, had a quick milk snack, and then peacefully snoozed through the entire session without a peep. Newborn photography can be some of the most swoon worthy images on your Instagram feed but the checklist to make just one of those beautiful images happen is long.
And to top it all off? She had the most glorious head of hair and lashes to die for. Mom and I had such a great time planning her Parkland newborn pictures and choosing all the setups to bring this gallery to life.
Poses, Props & Palette
I captured not only the sweetest bare baby newborn poses, but was also able to use some of my favorite props. The adorable little white baby bed, wood heart bowl and bamboo basket. She even posed in my favorite “Pooh bucket“- always a win!
Mom requested soft and feminine neutrals for her Parkland newborn photoshoot. So we went with a soft yellow, creams, rose and oatmeal/beige colors. I love all the accessories we used too- from the sweet floral headbands, to the knit teddy bear lovey, and the scalloped bonnet- chef’s kiss! She looked just gorgeous in all of the looks we planned.
So these pictures are a great example of an 8-day-old newborn photography session in Parkland. This is considered more on the earlier side of the “newborn photo” timeline. It’s actually the earliest I will usually photograph a baby!
