Planning your Newborn Session
As a Boca Raton newborn photographer for more than 12 years, my sessions are all about connection—between you, your baby, and the people who love them most.
Each session is thoughtfully planned but we are always flexible, following baby’s lead to keep everyone comfortable. I plan absolutely everything with your baby’s safety and comfort as the top priority. I’m trained in safe newborn handling and posing, and I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect so you feel completely at ease. All you need to do is show up, snuggle your baby, and trust that you’re in good hands.

When is the best time for newborn photos?
The sweet spot for newborn photos is typically when your baby is between 8 and 17 days old.
During this window, babies are still super sleepy and naturally curl into those adorable womb-like poses we all love. You may hear 5-14 days old is best but I prefer to be more flexible to allow for the surprises that can come along with a new baby.
Don’t stress if my stated timing doesn’t work out perfectly. I completely understand that every birth story is different.
Had a C-section? Baby spent time in the NICU? You’re still in that foggy, beautiful chaos of the early days? You are not alone — and you didn’t miss your chance. I welcome preemies, post-jaundice babies, and those last-minute “I forgot to book” sessions with open arms. We’ll make it work in a way that’s safe and comfortable for everyone.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
You can choose to have your session in the comfort of your home or in my home studio. When you arrive for your session, you’ll step into a quiet, inviting space designed with both comfort and creativity in mind. My cozy home studio has a dedicated private entrance, so you can come and go with ease — no navigating big buildings or searching for parking. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable space where you can relax, sip a coffee, and take a breather while I work my magic with your little one. The environment is intentionally calm and soothing — all intentional to keep baby cozy and happy while we capture those fleeting newborn moments. I hope you enjoy the cozy touches that help create a peaceful experience for baby (and for you too).

I totally get it — planning outfits for your family can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be! From early on, I realized that wardrobe styling plays a huge part in creating not just beautiful, cohesive images — but also a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for my clients. That’s why every client has access to my curated client closet. It’s filled with hand-selected gowns and accessories in a range of sizes and styles for moms to wear during maternity or family sessions, plus an adorable selection of children's clothing up to size 7/8. These pieces are chosen to photograph beautifully and flatter effortlessly, so you can feel confident, radiant, and completely at ease. And for an even bigger selection I subscribe to an amazing styling service that helps you pull together a coordinated look — whether you’re dressing your partner, toddler, or teen. Everything is designed to complement each other seamlessly, no matter what you choose. From start to finish, I’m here to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible — and wardrobe is just one of the ways I love to support you.

Planning ahead and clear communication are the secret ingredients to a smooth, stress-free newborn photoshoot. I recommend reaching out during your second trimester—this gives us plenty of time to chat about your vision, complete any paperwork, and reserve space on my calendar around your due date. Once baby arrives, all you have to do is let me know. I’ll take care of the rest.
When you arrive at my studio for your newborn photography session, everything is ready and waiting. No need to bring a thing besides your sweet baby—I’ll handle the props, styling, and every cozy detail. Your only job? Sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience.

One of the most-loved parts of a newborn photography session is all the tiny, beautiful details—the delicate bows, hand-knit bonnets, itty bitty outfits, soft layers, mini beds, bowls, and more. These thoughtfully chosen pieces add just the right touch of charm and texture to your images. If you’ve ever wondered, “Where do you find this stuff?”—you’re not alone! Most of my collection comes from artisan vendors who create heirloom-quality props specifically for professional newborn photographers.
my Happy Place and Location Sessions
Figuring out how I wanted to serve my clients took some time and intention. Did I want a brick-and-mortar studio? Did I want to photograph only on location? After exploring a few different paths, I realized that creating a dedicated home studio was the perfect fit — for my clients and for me.
A few years ago, when it was time to downsize, we moved just a couple of miles from Heron Bay in Parkland to Coral Springs. It was the perfect opportunity to design a cozy, studio space right at home. It has its own entrance and is completely dedicated to my sessions. It's where I photograph sweet, sleepy newborns, those joyful baby milestones, and maternity portraits filled with the excitement of baby coming. It's my happy place — and I hope the calm, welcoming vibe of the space helps my clients feel right at home too.
That said, I'm not just a studio photographer. I also love the freedom and creativity that comes with shooting outdoors. Whether it's a golden hour beach session, a quiet park tucked away from the crowds, or one of my favorite hidden gems most people wouldn’t even think to explore — these are the places where real connection and natural beauty come together.
And for families who want their session to reflect their everyday love and the space where memories are made, I offer in-home sessions as well. There's something so meaningful about documenting your family in the place where life truly happens — where your baby's nursery lives, where laughter echoes down the halls, where the walls will tell your story even if you move on someday.

Session retainer fees begin at $200 for all portrait sessions except newborn, and $250 for newborn sessions. This non-refundable retainer secures your date on my calendar and includes a personal consultation (in person or by phone), full use of my curated client wardrobe and props, your portrait session, editing of your final selected images, the time and talent of the photographer, and your in-person ordering appointment.
The retainer fee does not include any prints, products, or digital images — these are purchased separately after your gallery reveal.
I believe in the power of printed photographs — tangible, archival pieces that you can hold in your hands and pass down through the years. At your gallery reveal appointment, you’ll choose from a carefully curated selection of heirloom albums, custom framing, and wall art from my trusted print lab partners. Every product purchased includes matching digital files for easy sharing and safekeeping. Digital image packages and add-ons are also available.
Clients typically invest between $800 and $3000, with collections beginning at $690. Whether you want to create a statement wall in your home, a handcrafted album, or both, I’ll guide you every step of the way to help bring your vision to life.
