Deerfield Beach has such an easygoing charm. It’s a little more low-key than some of South Florida’s other towns—but that’s exactly what makes it so special. I love photographing families here, especially around the Deerfield Beach Pier or along the quieter stretches of sand that are perfect for dreamy sunrise sessions.

Deerfield is actually my preferred beach location for my clients. The extra texture and natural detail thanks to the large rocks where the sand meets the water create beautiful, layered images and add character to our images.

For the most magical golden glow, I always recommend a sunrise session. There’s a calm, relaxed energy that settles over the beach in those early hours, before the world really wakes up. Even though we’re chasing the sun, there’s something about that sunrise stillness that makes every session feel natural, unhurried, and unforgettable.

I can't talk about Deerfield without mentioning a few of my favorite places to eat.
