Family
Mamas, have you been (lovingly) nudging your partner for family photos for what feels like forever?
I see you and I’m here to tell you, you’re absolutely right to want them. I know how much effort it takes to coordinate schedules, choose outfits, and hope for good weather. It can feel like a lot. But I promise, it’s worth it.
These years fly by faster than any of us are ready for, and the changes in your children, even in just a year, are magic worth preserving. That’s where I come in. To take the pressure off, help with the planning, and create a session that actually feels fun (yes, even for reluctant partners!).
Your job is to show up and love on your people. I’ll take care of the rest and hopefully you’ll leave with not just beautiful photos, but a joyful little memory too.
Genuine moments. Natural connection. Family first.
The best family photos aren’t about saying “cheese”.
They’re about capturing what makes your crew you.
When you focus on each other instead of the camera, the magic naturally unfolds. Real laughter, sweet snuggles, and the kind of connection you’ll want to remember forever.
We’ll skip the stiff poses and make space for play, movement, and joy, so your images feel as genuine as your love.
Fair warning: I may resort to some goofy antics or silly sounds to get those genuine giggles and playful moments but just roll with it!
The goal is real connection and real smiles, no matter how ridiculous I have to be to get them.
As a family photographer for more than 10 years, my sessions are all about connection between the on es you love most.
Each session is thoughtfully planned with your family’s unique style and vibe in mind.
I always recommend reaching out a few weeks in advance to ensure availability and give us some wiggle room in case the South Florida weather throws us a curveball.
Together, we’ll choose the perfect location whether that’s golden hour in one of Boca Raton’s stunning parks, a hidden gem tucked away in South Florida, or a spot that holds special meaning for your family.
Once the session begins, it’s all about relaxing and having fun. I’ll gently guide you through the experience and help everyone feel completely at ease.
All you need to do is show up, love on your people, and trust that you’re in great hands.
If your family includes a new baby, I also offer newborn photography and baby milestone photos to capture those early days together.
Let’s Tell the Story of Your Favorite People
Looking for inspiration? Explore featured family sessions I’ve done for Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Coconut Creek families.
Whether we’re chasing light in a field or capturing snuggles at home, every gallery reflects heartfelt connection, natural interaction, and the easygoing style families love me for.
Here are some questions that are often asked by my family clients.
Most family photo sessions take place outdoors somewhere your family can relax, explore, and enjoy just being together. Think breezy beaches, beautiful parks, your family’s boat, or even the colorful charm of a downtown spot for a more urban vibe.
Your home is also a wonderful option especially if it’s a space that holds special memories. Backyard snuggles, baking together in the kitchen, or reading books on the couch can tell your story in the most authentic way. If your family has a weekend ritual like visiting your local South Florida's farmer’s market or playing at your favorite park, we can turn that into a meaningful session, too.
I typically shoot during golden hour, either at sunrise or sunset when the light is soft, warm, and magical.
Once your session is booked, contract signed, and retainer paid, the next question I usually get is: "what should we wear?" I totally get it. Planning outfits for your family can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be!
From early on, I realized that wardrobe styling plays a huge part in creating not just beautiful, cohesive images. But also a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for my clients.
That’s why every client has access to my curated client closet. It’s filled with hand-selected gowns and dresses and accessories in a range of sizes and styles for moms to wear during family sessions, plus an adorable selection of children's clothing up to size 7/8. These pieces are chosen to photograph beautifully and flatter effortlessly, so you can feel confident, radiant, and completely at ease.
And for an even bigger selection I subscribe to an amazing styling service that helps you pull together a coordinated look. Whether you’re dressing your partner, toddler, or teen. Everything is designed to complement each other seamlessly, no matter what you choose. From start to finish,
I’m here to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible and wardrobe is just one of the ways I love to support you.
When it comes to family photography, especially here in sunny South Florida, a little glam can go a long way. Getting professional hair and makeup done before your session isn’t just about looking great on camera—it’s about feeling confident, calm, and fully present with your crew.
I offer a recommended list of talented local artists who know exactly how to create camera-ready looks. If your session is scheduled at my studio, Alchemy Park Style Bar on Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs is a wonderful and convenient option close by. Of course, you’re welcome to work with your own beauty team as well.
However you choose to get ready, just know that you deserve to feel your best, you’re in these photos too!
The best ways to display family portraits at home include creating custom wall art and albums designed to fit your space. These heirloom-quality pieces showcase your memories beautifully, moving them from your computer to your walls as meaningful, lasting decor.
And I'm here to help you with that!
Still wondering about something?
Photography is the art of preserving your story for generations. My goal is to create a heartfelt, personal experience for every client from the moment you book to the moment your artwork is in your hands.

All the details on my family photoshoots!
Schedule family photos two weeks before you want to book
This gives us plenty of time to chat about your vision, complete any paperwork, and reserve space on my calendar.
When you arrive at our location for your family session, everything is ready and waiting.
No need to bring a thing. Your only job? Relax, and enjoy the experience.
Planning ahead and clear communication are the secret ingredients to a smooth, stress-free family photoshoot.
One of the most important parts of preparing for your family photo session is styling your crew in a way that feels like you just a little more polished than a regular day out.
I know it can feel overwhelming, which is why I make it easy with an incredible styling tool that helps you coordinate outfits for the whole family.
The goal?
A look that’s cohesive, comfortable, and true to your vibe without being too matchy-matchy. You can use the tool as inspiration to shop your own closet, or even order the exact pieces directly.
I’ll also share tips on thoughtful finishing touches like cozy blankets and accessories that bring in texture and charm.
Together, we’ll create a look that’s relaxed, elevated, and most importantly you.
Figuring out how I wanted to serve my clients took some time and intention.
Did I want a brick-and-mortar studio? Did I want to photograph only on location?
For family photoshoots, 90% of the time the answer is using the outdoors. We have endless options throughout Boca Raton and all of South Florida. I like to challenge myself to find new and fun locations that make your photos extra special and true to your family.
Whether it's a golden hour beach session, a quiet park tucked away from the crowds, or one of my favorite hidden gems most people wouldn’t even think to explore. These are the places where real connection and natural beauty come together.
And for families who want their session to reflect their everyday love and the space where memories are made, I offer in-home sessions as well.
There's something so meaningful about documenting your family in the place where life truly happens. Where laughter echoes down the halls, where the walls will tell your story even if you move on someday.
Whether it's at home or somewhere in nature, I'm here to create heartfel, meaningful images that feel true to you.
Did you know that studies show children who grow up seeing photos of themselves displayed around the home tend to have higher self-esteem and a stronger sense of belonging?
It’s one of the many reasons I believe so deeply in creating tangible, heirloom artwork for your family not just digital files that live on a screen.
Since the beginning of my photography career over a decade ago, my mission has always been to deliver more than just beautiful images. I want you to have something you can see, hold, and pass down.
Since starting my Boca Raton photography studio over a decade ago, my mission has always been to help families surround themselves with love through meaningful portraits you can see, touch, and treasure.
From handcrafted albums to museum-quality wall art, every piece is carefully curated with intention from artisans around the world with beauty, legacy, and storytelling in mind.
When your artwork is delivered, I want it to take your breath away and remind your children every day how deeply they are loved.

Support + Resources Families Love
Photographing families in Boca Raton has become one of my favorite parts of this job. As a photographer specializing in Boca Raton family photography, I’m in and out of this area so much for family photoshoots! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know so many amazing parents who’ve let me in on their favorite places and routines.
One of the best family parks in Boca, hands down, is Sugar Sand Park! The activities, amenities and facilities are endless. There is the Children’s Science Explorium, The Willow Theater, the carousel, toddler and youth sports, music programs for ages 0–5- the list goes on. You could go weekend after weekend and always find something new to do.
Mizner Park for family-friendly events and the best shops will always do the trick for a fun family outing. With splash pads and playgrounds, it is a go-to for us when we want a great restaurant and a little shopping. Max’s Grille (right next to Salt Life) is upscale and kid-friendly with outdoor seating- and they have high chairs, too. Sloan’s Ice Cream has the best ice cream flavors and a selection of BIG, JUMBO candy treats. And Sugarboo & Co., right on Plaza Real, is my favorite shopping spot- I’d even give up dinner for extra time there.
Spanish River Park is filled with ac tivities to enjoy with your family. It is a super popular spot for Boca families- and an amazing location for family photos in Boca, too. You can launch your canoe/kayak, go fishing, walk along the nature trail, rent a pavilion for your own event, and play sand volleyball. All right on the ocean. Nearby Red Reef Park is perfect for family beach days (and is another amazing family photoshoot location btw!).
Don’t sleep on the lesser known Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. It has a 40-foot-tall observation tower to get a view of the barrier island. You can visit the butterfly garden, relax in the authentic chickee overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. I like to visit during the week when it is extra quiet and enjoy the peace and calm.
For food, I love LaSpada’s Hoagies- and my order is always the “Mama LaSpada”-turkey with a slice of salami to spice it up a bit. Luff’s Fish House is another favorite. I go for the absolute best Key Lime Pie. I’m not usually a dessert-after-dinner person, but at Luff’s, I’m not leaving until I’ve had a slice..
For higher-end family fun, The Boca Raton resort has endless experiences for kids: the FlowRider, lazy river, water slides, cabanas, splash pad, and a gaming loft. They even offer childcare through Banyan Bunch, and older kids love The Break teen hangout spot. And for parents? Two words: Ritual Bath. A spa day there is like no other. And for brunch, Sadelle’s is the most beautiful, charming, and delicious spot- I could go every Sunday and never get tired of it.
Sports are big here. The Soccer Association of Boca Raton (SABR), the City’s youth sports calendar, and tod dler sports through Amazing Athletes keep families busy. Many of my little clients attend Boca preschools like The Levis JCC, Ready, Set, Grow, and Royal Palm Montessori.
And for the practical side of parenting: my kiddos went to South Florida Dentistry for Children from toddlers until they were 18. D r. Bennett was amazing and there is nothing better than someone who has known your child through their entire childhood. It was pretty funny bringing them to the dentist the summer before they went to college, but there was no way they were leaving Dr. Bennett before they had to. For pediatric care, Pediatric Associates in The Greens is another longtime favorite of local families.
That’s the thing about Boca- it’s not just gorgeous backdrops for beach family photography (though it has plenty of those). It’s a super fun place for families! Plus, my Coral Springs studio is just west of 441 & the Turnpike off the Sawgrass Expressway. So it’s just a quick 20-minute drive for for families looking for Boca Raton family photography sessions.
Amazing experience! Did a family photo with my adult children and two exuberant dogs! Lara was fun and professional. Thank you so much. We love our photos!
