There’s truly no better compliment than when a client refers me to their friends and family- and that’s exactly how I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful crew. This sweet family was looking for a family photographer in West Palm Beach, and I knew just how to make it happen.
And wow, did they dress perfectly for our location! From the moment we connected, everything fell into place. It was our first time working together, but honestly, it felt like we had known each other for years.
When the Kids Think We’re Just Playing During Their Family Photography Session
When I’m scouting locations as a family photographer West Palm Beach, I focus on finding places that feel like a little adventure. Kids shine brightest when they’re free to move, explore, and play.
At first the boys were a little unsure what I wanted them to do. They thought we were there to have their pictures taken and I am telling them to look for lizards and trees. Seriously, what would you rather do? So off we went to look for lizards. When the kids are entertained and happy, the photos show it.
Our photos are going to include lots of movement. We won’t ever stand and say “cheese”. Ask dad about when I told him to pick up both boys and just run- a West Palm Beach family photographer trick! He did it and I LOVE those shots. What a great memory for him and the boys to look back on.

One West Palm Beach Family Photographer Favorite: Okeeheelee Park
During this outdoor session, we headed to Okeeheelee Park, one of my favorite parks with many hidden pockets in West Palm Beach. The natural beauty, ferns, open space, and soft light made it the perfect backdrop.
The boy had had room to roam, and we captured everything from sweet snuggles to spontaneous laughter. When the boys were having fun, mom and dad could relax and actually enjoy the session- and have fun, too! Clients tell me that working with me feels more like a fun family outing than formal portraits. And this family jumped right in- playing games and just having fun as a family.

Tickle Fights, Tree Climbing Memories, and Laughs All the Way Home
As always, my goal is to create a session where families can totally be themselves. How do we do that? By just having FUN!
During this session, I told mom and dad to reach around and unexpectedly tickle their boys- that one always works for the best smiles and laughing images. Okeeheelee Park also has some of the best trees for kids to climb- wide and low trunks, super easy for the littlest ones to climb.
Some of my best shots as a family photographer in West Palm Beach are when kids are just being themselves and making memories during my family sessions! Climbing trees and playing hide and seek between those giant green Philodendron leaves Florida is famous for? Yes please! The boys had so much fun- and that’s my style and how I want my clients to remember their family photography sessions with me, the kind of work that sets photographers apart.
I had such a blast with this family. We did it all, and we made some amazing memories. Mom told me later that the boys could not stop laughing in the car ride home, too. Always my goal as your family photographer in West Palm Beach!
