Sam’s 9-Month Infant Photoshoot in Deerfield Beach
A 9-month session is its own kind of magic- baby is often on the move, full of giggles, and so curious. Before you know it, their one-year session arrives, and they’re already showing off a whole new level of personality. It feels like just yesterday we were doing his newborn photos!
Such a chill, happy guy and he didn’t mind one bit being dressed up or nestled into any of my props. The quilted detail of the outfit by one of my favorite vendors Threads and Evergreen gives the image such a classic touch to the photos.
Photographing All of Sam’s Expressions at 9 Months Old
For this Deerfield Beach infant photoshoot, I brought out a set of wooden stacking rings to mix things up a bit. The neutral vibes of this natural toy was totally perfect for this sitter session, too.

I love picking up props and toys that are natural and organic in feeling. They photograph perfectly, aren’t distracting to the shot and give baby something to hold in their hands.
Giving babies something new to explore is one of my favorite tricks- it pulls out the real expressions you just can’t pose. Sam was so curious, studying the rings and figuring out how they worked, and every little look he gave was worth capturing.
I kept the setup simple with a neutral onesie so all the attention stayed on him- his sweet personality, those big eyes, and yes, the cutest baby rolls ever!
This stage is one of the highlights of my baby milestone photography sessions, because babies are so curious and full of personality.
