We did this session right before she came in for her newborn session with me. We had a totally magical session! Time to soak it and just play with her two girls before baby brother arrived! A Glowing Maternity Session in Fort Lauderdale
Expecting baby number three, a sweet little boy, this beautiful mama was absolutely glowing and rocked her maternity session with style and grace. And can we talk about these two proud big sisters? Literally the sweetest children! All smiles, showering their mama’s baby bump with nonstop hugs and kisses.
When I asked them to cuddle with their mama and the both had their heads in her lap I nearly squealed! It was such a beautiful moment for this Fort Lauderdale maternity photographer!
It might be one of my favorite maternity photos ever. They’re already so in love with their baby brother! We even joked about who would be in charge of changing diapers, and let’s just say neither of them volunteered for the job.
This was my third session with this family, and because I already knew the girls and their personalities, it made it so much easier to bring out those authentic expressions.
Such sweet girls, big sister was always watching over and leading her little sister through the session, never leaving her behind. Watching my newborn clients grow into big siblings is such a privilege—it’s one of the most special parts of my job.

When to Schedule Your Maternity Photoshoot- My Advice to Clients
Mom was 32 weeks along during our session- right in that sweet spot between 30 and 35 weeks. With over 14 years of experience as a maternity photographer in Fort Lauderdale, I say this is the perfect time to schedule your shoot. This is when you’re still comfortable enough to move easily and your bump is beautifully rounded.
I recommend scheduling your session between 30–35 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you still feel comfortable moving and posing.
If you’re high risk or carrying multiples, I usually suggest booking closer to 28–32 weeks so we’re ahead of any surprises.
I do occasionally have last-minute openings for Fort Lauderdale maternity sessions. It’s always worth reaching out, even if your due date is around the corner.

Where to Take Maternity Photos in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
I’ve lived in South Florida for 38 years (a long time!), so I know there is no shortage of breathtaking spots for maternity photography!

For this mom’s photography session, I knew of a hidden gem tucked away- not a park or marked spot. It is super lush with greenery and decorated with the most amazing texture of hanging Spanish Moss.
I LOVE finding these kind of locations. I’ll admit it, I can drive my family crazy sometimes because I will insist on pulling over to investigate a random spot to see if it will work for a session. But its always worth it!
