When you get the news that a family or friend is expecting a new baby it doesn’t take long for you start to thinking of finding that special gift. I mean who doesn’t like shopping for adorable baby goodies? As a South Florida Newborn Photographer I have a suggestion for the perfect gift; newborn photos of course!! Sure mom will love a cute outfit and there are necessities she will need, but the gift of newborn photos will be the gift she treasures for a lifetime.

A few weeks ago I received a call from someone wanting to give the gift of newborn photos. “What a smart lady”, I thought to myself and we discussed my pricing and all the details. There was one very important detail however; the session would take place in Boston. I am always up for adventure so of course I said “let’s do it”! I packed up my studio lights, buckets, bowls, headbands and even my floors and flew to Boston to meet Baby Amelia and her parents. Believe it or not mom and dad did not seem too alarmed at the sight of me at the door with a gigantic suitcase and rolled up floors in tow. In fact they were so warm and welcoming. Soon we had a mini-studio all set up and we were ready to go. What an incredible day we had. Amelia is such a gorgeous baby with dreamy, hypnotic eyelashes. She was so tolerant of all my posing and only fussed if I messed with her hands too much. A smile never left mom’s face and we even face-timed with grandma so she could be part of Amelia’s first photoshoot.

I got back home the very next day and began working on Amelia’s gallery. Mom and Dad picked out their photos and applied their gift certificate that was purchased for them. Easy peasy and I know how grateful they were to receive a gift that will truly last a lifetime. I can’t think of anything better.
